Killer Nashville International Conference

Writer's picture: jujujuju

I had so much fun meeting authors who are serious about writing. If you have never been to a conference, I highly recommend this one. One of the days that I had registered, I decided to set up a table display of most of my books. My display table sat outside the book store entrance...lucky, I know.

I had one morning where I attended a sit down with a well known agent Elizabeth Copps. It was interesting seeing how she listened and gave great advice to the other 5 attendees. All took notes. What was more thrilling to me is she approached my table and saw one of the children's books I was promoting. Then proceeded to buy it. The agent bought my book!!! Which wasn't even a thriller book, but a children's book. I still cannot wipe the smile off my face; that made my week!

Oh, and it didn't quit there. One of the featured speakers, Susan Crawford, a best selling author of The Pocket Wife came by my table. We shared stories and humor, and hten she proceeded to by one of my suspense book, The Teedle Doll.

You can't imagine the ride home and the feeling that maybe, just maybe, i'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing.
